Swinging in the Sun

With most of the snow melted and a beautiful glow from the setting sun, I took all my nieces and nephews to the park to play and take some pictures. Corbin, who is the youngest of four in my sisters family has always been so photogenic, and today was no exception.

Today's entry #37 is a shot of Corbin sporting his famous million dollar smile on the swings while basking in the sun!!

She sells seashells by the seashore!?

I sat back at my desk tonight wondering what to shoot... as I lean back I notice the small glass jar that we got in 2008 while vacationing in Dominican Republic. It was full of sand and shells collected with the kids... I opened it up... spilled it out, and shot...

Love for a daughter...

Today's picture is once again inspired by one of my kids, today it's Tiana. She came home from school yesterday with a tattoo of the word LOVE on her cheek. I told her as I kissed that cheek putting her to bed last night I wanted to take a picture of it... I never thought that this picture would capture the beauty or the love I have for her...

Spring is FINALLY in the air!

Are you about done with the snow as I am? Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE to drive, and the snow and ice adds a certain bit of 'interesting' to my daily commute, but I'm ready for days of sun, t-shirts and the outdoors...

Today's picture is one taking in my front garden... tulips are usually amount the first flowers to begin growing, and this year they are coming in nice.

This picture is inspired once again by my son, Lucas. With his 10th birthday passing just over a week ago he got 'hooked' up on DC clothing and gear... *huge thanks! you know who you are!!*

On the rebound...

It's time to bounce back...

After a long lapse in posts due to an unfortunate couple of events with my camera, I've finally gotten another lens to try to catch up to the progress and ability some of you have developed. HUGE thanks to Derrick who donated the stock lens (18mm-55mm) for my D60 and now I can start shooting once again.

My son Lucas started collecting rubber bands a few weeks ago and started making a ball... for fun I guess. I figured what a neat subject to shoot for my... rebound back into my own 365 challenge.


I've also found someone who's helping me understand some simple post processing tricks with CS3, so I hope to experiment with different finishes and touches... please feel free to leave a comment on what you like, don't like, or any tips!
